LOVE
AT HIGH ALTITUDE
To
love a person really truly
You have to learn to love a Doolie
For a Doolie is a peon with lots of gall.
They
come from higher status
With knowledge of hi-tech apparatus
And records of having a lot on the ball.
But
now we test their inner strength
As their peers strain their width and length
And make them wonder if they’re any good at all.
Now
the Doolies must recall their goals
And draw upon reserves from spiritual shoals
To meet the tasks to make it through until this fall.
For
all the love of Mother
and Sister, Dad, and Brother,
This is a test for which there is no help at all.
If we
could reach out and hold you
And share the challenges you go through
You know we’d all be standing outside your wall.
We
know this challenge is your goal and your choice
And the only help we can give is by our voice
But our love will be a net in case you fall.
Then
get back up and charge pel-mel
For this game hurts, but will end quite well.
This trophy could be your biggest one of all.
Your
choice to take this rugged test
And put yourself up against the best
Proves you’re a person beyond our recall.
Wherever
you go, our favorite Doolie
You must remember we all love you truly,
And we respect you for trying to answer the call.
