CLASS of 2009 President’s Letter

Congratulations to the Class of 2008 and welcome to the Class of 2012!

Time passes by so quickly.  Seems like only yesterday our son Trent, who this year is a “firstie,” was off to BCT.

The Parents Association is here to help you in anyway we can to get through the Air Force Academy. We can tell you first hand the ability to meet others and share cadet stories through the Parents Association has been invaluable to us.  Attending the USAFA is an opportunity of a lifetime and we all live the experience one day at a time.  We encourage you to avail yourself of the many events we have planned throughout the year.  Please check the Web Site for a listing of events.

For the new Appointees, I can tell you it gets better as time goes forward.  Your cadet will experience an education of Excellence, Leadership and Character development like no other on this earth.  It is amazing to see our cadets develop and grow throughout their career.

Sue and I look forward to working with the other Parent Association leadership to meet your expectations.  We travel to the Academy for all the home football games and several other times throughout the year.  So if there is something we can do for you while we are there give us a call.

The major events we have coming up this year include the Picnic on July 19th, Parents Weekend Football game and attending the football game at West Point as a group.

We look forward to seeing you at the many events.

Have a great year & Blue Skies,

Clark and Sue Atwood
